“It had been weeks of heat without rain, then it rained the day before and by morning the water was running between the stones again. There was haze, one of the most closed-in mornings of the year, and for the haze I went back to the same blue as before. There is still plenty of green, that is the algae, they keep growing, but the shadow runs it now: it widens and brings the blue with it, and that is where most of the work went. In June there wasn’t a single flower at that spot, in July they were still low, now they are there, and the tree has come up too.” — Keili
