Finger painting, from the heart of the Ligurian Alps
Anno Tanaro — twelve months in the Ligurian Alps

A morning of art in the private park of La Fabbrica del Cotone, in Garessio. You paint with your fingers, guided by Keili Major, with a board and wine, and you go home with your own canvas. The experiences have finished for this year. Join the waiting list and we'll let you know as soon as new dates open.

Eight finger paintings and one realism oil hang permanently at a restored cotton mill, now a well-known restaurant in Garessio. The collection includes Tanaro, the 95×95 cm work that became the origin of the upcoming Anno Tanaro series.
For a long time I thought painting was a dream too big for me. Now I know it was simply the only thing I wanted to do.
I'm an Estonian artist living in the Italian Ligurian Alps. I paint with my fingers because it puts nothing between me and the canvas — and what comes out is alive in a way no brush can match.
Born in Estonia, trained in Australia under master Bill Mackay, settled in Garessio since 2023. The forest, the river, the light — they all come into my work.
Alongside my artistic practice, the studio offers traditional realism oil paintings, pencil drawings, and private art lessons — for adults and children, in Italian and English, in the Garessio atelier.
Note: finger painting originals (Anno Tanaro and other personal series) are available for private acquisition — see the portfolio above. Custom finger painting commissions: through my atelier, the emotion in your photo transfers into a work made for you.
