Realism oil

Impressionism
Atmospheric color, loose brushwork, plein-air sensibility translated to studio practice. Move from realism foundation toward expressive looseness.

Abstract
Color theory deep dive, mark-making, intentional non-representation. Building a personal visual language with confidence.

Single lesson — pay per session

Most popular
10-lesson package — commit to progress
€360Ten 2-hour sessions. €36/lesson effective. Best for real progress: you start seeing improvement around lesson 4-5, mastery starts to set in by 10.
Where + when
The atelier
Lessons happen in my atelier at Regione Sparvaira 14, Garessio (CN) — a quiet studio in the Italian Ligurian Alps, with natural light, all materials, and space for two easels.
Sessions are one-to-one — just you and me, working at your pace. No fixed curriculum: we design your trajectory based on what you want to paint and where you are.
Schedule is flexible: typically mornings or afternoons during the week, with some Saturday slots available. Book ahead so we can find a time that works for both of us.

FAQ
Common questions
I've never painted before. Is that OK?
Absolutely. About half my students start at zero. We build from the basics — holding a brush, mixing color, finding the light — and you'll be surprised how quickly things click.
What if I'm not progressing as fast as I want?
Progress isn't linear — every painter has slow weeks. I track your specific issues across lessons and we revisit them. If you feel stuck, we talk about it directly.
Can I bring my own canvas or paints?
Yes, optional. I provide everything: water-mixable oils, canvas or paper, brushes, palette. If you want to use your own materials, bring them.
Do you offer groups or just one-to-one?
Currently one-to-one only. The depth of attention works better in solo sessions. If you want to come with a friend, the second person pays the same rate as a parallel session.
Do you teach finger painting?
Not formally as a lesson topic. Finger painting is my personal signature technique — I can demonstrate it during a session, but the lesson focus is on transferable foundation skills (realism, impressionism, abstract).
