Artichauts

This painting was inspired by real flowering artichokes that caught my attention with their unique combination of strength and beauty. Their robust structure and protective leaves contrasted beautifully with the delicate purple blooms emerging from within.

I was fascinated by how something so bold and powerful could also appear soft, elegant, and full of life. Through light, texture, and colour, I wanted to capture that balance between resilience and beauty found in nature.

For me, this piece is a reminder that strength and softness can coexist in the most natural and beautiful way.
