First, thank you for deciding to read my blog post.
There is a story in everything. That is my story of the gradual change in becoming a digital artist.
For me, being an artist is something unique. I decide to see the world through different glasses. I see something and I tare it to the parts. Possibly as many pieces as you can. And then I start putting it back together on the canvas.
That’s the moment when the magic happens. It’s like a movie. I start ”talking” to my painting. Thinking, how something should go back and how it should look like. To make things even stranger, sometimes seeing visions and pictures in my head. Before, even all the painting process happens. And it feels like they are sent to me. How that sounds to you?!
This is the process that happens to me when I paint a painting in physical matter. But how the hell did I end up doing them in the digital world?!
First, when my name ”got out” on Twitter thanks to my partner Claudio. Claudio is responsible for Public Relations through Twitter and he is a total legend on that. There were only a few artists left who would still paint physical paintings. Digitalise them and mint them afterwards. That was like the beginning of my mutation. I got used to it seeing my art minted and added motion. Uploaded and sold as NFT-s. (This process could only happen thanks to my partner Claudio).
The next step was getting orders for very famous digital artworks to be painted on canvas. Like Hashmasks, Crypto Punks. That was something so new and exciting. It got me thinking that maybe that digital art world has something in it for me.
Until that day I got ordered my very first digital painting. Man, I was so thrilled and so scared at once. I didn’t have any experience doing painting digitally. Well, I had done some of them but they were like KIDS DRAWINGS. They say you should challenge yourself for growth. Honestly, I don’t cope with it very well. But if I started getting requests, it kind of meant something to me.

I will share some of the very first digital paintings I made a long time ago and photos of the first commission digital work.
First commissioned digital painting 5×5 whales
Once I got painted digital drawing. I got ordered the second one. By this time I was happier to do it. The second one was like a big project and the memo was so interesting I just had to do it. Not all projects promise you a fortune like this one. Just some of them are far more interesting. The process of painting thought me so much. It opened my eyes finally to understanding the power of digital art.
Ordered digital painting
From there on I started doing them on my own. I started practising with some portraits. I did experiments with the pop art style. Then moved to fine and detailed artworks which are still a work in progress.
Some of my own creation
This one is still work in progress.. to be continued
For today, I think I can do 50-50 of the artworks. Depending on how I feel about it. Most of the time I find it easier to pick up my apple pencil and do some painting. It fastened my process of not being bothered of cleaning up if I don’t feel like it. There is that big plus, you don’t need to worry about storing your paintings. That has so much value for me. Because I’m still travelling and I haven’t settled down yet.
If you have any questions about the digital painting/drawing you can always send me DM-s. I wish I had someone who helped me. But it was all experimental and I’m happy to share some tips.
